Q: What size photo do you need?
A: We can take any size photo from a small picture to a very large picture. Let us do the cropping and resizing for you.
Q: Can I engrave custom clipart?
A: Yes, we can engrave custom artwork on the front side of your lockets. You can go on www.clipart.com and choose artwork that you´d like on the front side of your locket. Then, go ahead and place your order and in the "special instructions" let us know that you´d like to engrave clipart on the front and let us know the id number and we´ll take care of it. The additional charge is $20 that we´ll add to your credit card.
If you don´t find anything on clipart.com and want something different, let us know in the "special instructions" that you´ve emailed the artwork over, and then email it to info@picturesongold.com along with your order number.
Q: Can I engrave custom characters?
A: Yes, We do accept custom characters. Please place your order and in the "special instructions" box we provide you write that you´d like to add custom characters to the front side of the locket and you´ve emailed
info@picturesongold.com. Then, email the artwork to that address along with the order number and we´ll take care of it. The additional cost is $20 that we can charge to your card.
Q: How many characters can I engrave?
A: The reverse side of the locket we allow 130 characters. The right and left side we allow 60. The front we also allow 60 characters.
Keep in mind, PicturesOnGold.com will do their best to ensure that we make your engraving as large and as legible as possible. Our high definition lasers are the absolute best there is.
Q: How long does it take to ship?
A: It normally only takes us 1 Business day to manufacture your personalized locket. For ex: if you order your locket today, it will most likely ship tomorrow.
Q: What is the difference between color laser and laser?
A: The difference between the two is this:
Color Laser - Your Photo will be lasered in Full Color. All facial tones and clothing will have all the same colors as seen on your print. If the person is wearing a blue shirt, you will actually see blue. We compare this method to a magazine print.
Laser - your photo will be lasered with more of a monotone grayscale look that resembles that of a newspaper. It gives more of a sepia tone.
Color laser and Laser are both permanent and the quality is absolutely superb.
Q: Can I insert the paper photos myself?
A: Yes, you are able to insert your own photos into the locket yourself. Every locket comes with templates that you can trace around your prints and cut out. If you run into trouble, we are always here to help.
Q: Will you change my photo and zoom in on the faces?
A: Yes, unless stated otherwise in the "special instructions" box we provide you. We normally zoom in to the head, neck, and shoulders to give a nice clear shot of your subjects. We also remove the background of the photographs.
Q: What if I don´t want a person or object in my photo, can it be removed?
A: Yes, our photoshop artists are the best there is. We will remove who or what you desire. Just let us know in the "special instructions" box we provide you.
Q: Do you only photo engrave on lockets purchased from this website, or can I send an existing locket and photo to be engraved by your company?
Q: Can I send my locket back in later to have the photos put in?
A: Yes, You can always send your locket back to us later to have the photos lasered inside. This is great for customers who are not sure which photo the recipient would like or are not able to obtain the right photographs. We can also print the "paper photos" for you and you can easily insert them yourself.

Q: Is your process permanent and waterproof?
A: Yes, our process is 100% waterproof and scratch resistant. We have the only lockets in the world that can guarantee that.
Q: I would like to order a 14k yellow gold locket. Can you explain the difference between the ordinary locket and the premium weight - is there a difference (apart from the weight). i.e. is the ordinary locket flimsy or sturdy.

A: You´re right the main difference between the regular lockets and the premium weight locket is weight. I feel the quality of the locket is the same. We have the same guarantees on the premium weight and as the others.
Q: can you engrave on a locket i already own? or if i order one of your lockets and have only one side engraved can i get the other side engraved later?
A: Yes, we can engrave a locket you already own. Depending on the size of the locket and the metal you wish would really determine the price. 14K Yellow & White Gold cost $50 and Sterling Silver is $35. You can send your locket along with any instructions or preferences to:
